Mira!: Music and visual electronics

Electronic music and visual electronics. The fusion of these two disciplines is the main feature of MIRA!, A festival that proposes to offer shows performed by artists that came from the different electronic and audiovisual trends. Open to all audiences, MIRA! wants to be the showcase in which different artists and groups can provide a sample of the latest trends in audiovisual performances. Barcelona 10 Nov 2012.

Laboratorio Urbano ArteFacendo

I laboratori urbani “ArteFacendo” sono stati finanziati all’interno del programma “Bollenti Spiriti”. Il progetto prevede la ristrutturazione di immobili comunali dismessi e la dotazione degli stessi con arredi, attrezzature e strumenti al fine di creare nuovi spazi pubblici per i giovani. Nel progetto è previsto che la gestione dei laboratori urbani venisse affidata con bando pubblico ad associazioni giovanili.

Il progetto ArteFacendo, è il progetto che prevede la creazione di 8 laboratori urbani nell’ambito di zona di San Marco in Lamis. Questo ambito comprende le cittadine di San Marco in Lamis, San Giovanni Rotondo, San Nicandro Garganico e Rignano Garganico.

I laboratori sono stati affidati a delle associazioni individuate tramite bando di gara pubblico e riunite in un’ATS (Associazione Temporanea di Scopo), sotto la direzione permanente dell’Ufficio di Piano di San Marco in Lamis.

La 11/8 Records nasce nella “casa laboratorio Hotel Abania”, che da sempre ospita e accoglie poeti, giocolieri, scrittori, pittori, scultori e artisti di ogni genere ed è anche l’agenzia di management che gestisce gli artisti dell’ etichetta. La sua particolare posizione geografica, le permette di essere luogo di incontro delle diverse etnie che si affacciano sul Mediterraneo. L’impegno attivo, nella difficile crociata dell’integrazione tra le varie culture, ne hanno fatto una realtà unica, diventando il progetto artistico stesso dell’etichetta.

Insomnia Festival seeks to evolve the creative energy this has given rise to by creating a plattform for new electronic music and techno culture. It’s a festival for innovative electronic music – which means music created with electronic contraptions. The creative process within the genre is as varied as the music itself, and the festival hopes to sample a variety of it.

Unsound 2011: Future Shock

Unsound Krakow was established in 2003 in Krakow, Poland, as a festival of advanced music. Starting out as an underground event, in recent years the festival has grown in size and name. Fundacja Tone currently produces the annual festival in Krakow in October each year, and in spring 2012 will produce the third Unsound Festival New York with local producers, curators, venues and cultural institutes in that city.

Robin Fox

Robin Fox is an artist straddling the often artificial divide between audible and visible arts. As an audio-visual performance artist his work has featured in festivals worldwide. His groundbreaking work with Chunky Move has contributed to the recent piece Mortal Engine winning a Helpmann award for Best Visual Production and an Honorary mention at the illustrious Prix Ars Electronica. He also scored the critically acclaimed work Connected with Oren Ambarchi and has produced two works, RGBand Drift, with groundbreaking new choreographer Antony Hamilton.
