The Parque Científico de Madrid’s aim is to promote research, development and innovation, paying special attention to interdisciplinary aspects, transferring knowledge to society, businesses and entrepreneurs; and implementing R&D&i results in products, processes and services that favour social well-being and progress. Although the PCM is a generalist Park, its main sectors of scientific and business development activities are life sciences and chemistry, information technology, new materials and nanotechnology, and environmental sciences and renewable energy.

Los fines de la Fundación Parque Científico de Madrid son la investigación, el desarrollo y la innovación, prestando especial atención a los aspectos interdisciplinares, la transferencia de conocimiento a la sociedad, a las empresas y a los emprendedores, y la utilización de los resultados de la I+D+i en productos, procesos y servicios que favorezcan el progreso y bienestar social. Aunque la FPCM es un Parque generalista, los sectores predominantes de actividad científica y de desarrollo empresarial son ciencias de la vida y química, tecnologías de la información, nuevos materiales y nanotecnología, y medio ambiente y energías renovables.
