Instigated by the philosopher Bernard Stiegler, Centre Pompidou created in 2006 Institute for Research and Innovation (IRI) to anticipate the evolution of relationships between cultural institutions, their works, and the public. in August 2008, IRI has been founded as a research non-profit organization supported by Centre Pompidou, the Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Art, Microsoft France, ENSCI – Les Ateliers, Institut Telecom, the University of Tokyo and the Goldsmiths College in London.

Its creation aimed at strengthening the existing ties between higher education and research institutes, science and technology parks (known in France as “technopoles”), incubators and European Business and Innovation Centres.

More and more robots to Innorobo 2012

More than 150 exceptional robots can be discovered at INNOROBO, some of them for the first time in Europe. A new interactive experiential area will be open to the general public with an ephemeral living lab to get a sense of the future as Robotics companies build it, but also, to attend demonstrations, workshops, competitions and public debates.

Dal 5 dicembre 2011 è on line del portale dell’open data pubblico francese. Presentando data.gouv.fr, Séverin Naudet, direttore di Etalab, la missione creata in seno alla Presidenza del Consiglio per la messa on line del portale in versione beta, ha sottolineato che si tratta di uno strumento di lavoro che ribalta la logica di accesso all’informazione pubblica.
