<p>The Russian Union of Innovation and Technology Centers was created in 2001 with the aim of innovation technology centers development.</p>

RUITC currently has 27 Innovation Technology Centers, Science Parks, Technology Parks as members that have about 4000 client companies, R&D organizations and universities in Russia. (4 more innovative centers will officially join at the next RUITC congress in 2013).
In order to support the Russian Union of Innovation and Technology Centers, a Gate2RuBIN (Gate to Russian Business and Innovation Networks) project has been initiated and on March 20th 2007 it was successfully selected by the European Commission for participation in the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Program (CIP).
The Russian Union of Innovation and Technology Centers exploits the potential of Russian innovation technological centers, industrial parks and technology transfer centers created and operates on the support of the:
– Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation,
– Federal Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises,
– Russian Venture capital Association In the year 2011, RUITC companies produced innovative products for more than 24 billion rubles (800 million US dollars), Investment in new research and development amounted to 6.3 billion rubles (210 million US dollars). A RUITC enterprise annually produces more than 400 new innovative projects. For the infrastructural support of the companies in the RUITC network, was built more than 400 000 square meters modern offices and laboratories, scientific and industrial area.
